Designed the cover of my new planner! I couldn't wait to start using it! (: |
Starting out my husband and I are about $27,000 in debt. That is including both our vehicles, my student loans, and my husbands credit card. We also have a mortgage, but we aren't counting that as a "Debt" on this journey.
First thing is first.. make a budget sheet! I made up a simple one that I knew my husband and I would use. You can make a budget using excel or just write it down on a piece of paper.. whatever works best for you! I also made a weekly check in sheet and a transaction sheet.
I also knew I would save a lot of money by not eating out as much and meal planning.. so I did just that! Also I'm eating breakfast at home in the mornings now so I won't be so hungry at work and be tempted to get something "Quick" for lunch. I got these meal prep sheets for The Happy Planner on their website for half off!
Now I am almost to my next cash envelope stuffing and I have one hell of a debt snowball total so far! All of this is from side hustles (cleaning at my grandmas or selling stuff I don't need) and what ever is leftover in my cash envelopes from categories like.. my personal spending, groceries, and household.
Also going to do the $1.00 and $5.00 challenge for 2020. Wish me luck!!
Happy budgeting!
